What Sound Warden Does

Sound Warden is a macOS utility that automatically switches your audio output device based on which app is open or in focus. It runs entirely on your Mac — there are no servers, no accounts, and no network requests made by the app itself.

Data We Collect

None. Sound Warden does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information. This includes:

• No name, email address, or contact information
• No location data
• No usage analytics or telemetry
• No crash reports sent to external services
• No microphone or audio content
• No screen recordings or screenshots

System Information Accessed Locally

To function, Sound Warden reads the following information locally on your device only:

• Which applications are currently running (via NSWorkspace)
• Which application is in the foreground (active focus)
• Your connected audio output devices (via Core Audio)

This data never leaves your Mac. It is used solely to apply the audio routing rules you configure and is not stored beyond the current app session.

In-App Purchases

Sound Warden offers optional one-time purchases (Sound Warden Plus and Sound Warden Pro) through Apple's App Store. All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. We never see or handle your payment details. Apple's privacy policy governs those transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Third-Party Services

Sound Warden does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app makes no outbound network requests.

Children's Privacy

Sound Warden is rated 4+ on the Mac App Store and is safe for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any information from children or anyone else.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this policy, the new version will be posted at this URL with an updated date. Since we collect no data, material changes are unlikely.
