FileExpiry Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 29, 2026

FileExpiry does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.

Files and local data

FileExpiry accesses only files that you explicitly select or drag into the app. Security-scoped bookmarks, expiry dates, preferences, and purchase entitlement information are stored locally on your Mac. Selected files are not uploaded or analyzed.

Notifications and system services

If you enable notifications, FileExpiry schedules local reminders on your Mac. If you enable Launch at Login, macOS manages that preference. FileExpiry uses Apple's StoreKit service to process and restore the optional Lifetime Pro purchase; payment information is handled by Apple.

Analytics and tracking

FileExpiry contains no advertising, third-party analytics, tracking, user accounts, or cloud backend.

Deletion

You can stop tracking any file in the app. Uninstalling FileExpiry removes the app; its local support data can be removed through Finder. Expired files are moved to the macOS Trash and are not permanently deleted by FileExpiry.
